Maple Pecan Crescent Twists Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c sliced pecans .
  • 1/4 tsp maple extract .
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar .
  • 2 tbsps butter, melted .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 2-3 tsps milk .
  • 3 tbsps sugar .
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg .
  • Twists .
  • Glaze .
  • 2 (8 oz) cans put in the fridged crescent dinner rolls

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 375.
  • Step #2 Lightly grease 1 large or 2 small cookie sheets.
  • Step #3 In small bowl, sugar, mix pecans, cinnamon & nutmeg; mix well.
  • Step #4 Seperate dough into 8 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
  • Step #5 Brush each rectangle with butter.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top 1 T.
  • Step #7 sugar mixture evenly over each rectangle, pressing in lightly.
  • Step #8 Starting at longer side, roll up each rectangle, pinching edges to seal.
  • Step #9 With sharp knife, cut 1 roll in half lengthwise, forming 2 strips.
  • Step #10 With cut side up, carefully overlap strips 2 times to form twist.
  • Step #11 Press ends together to seal.
  • Step #12 Place on greased cookie sheet.
  • Step #13 Repeat with reamining dough.
  • Step #14 Sprinkle top with remaining sugar nut mixture.
  • Step #15 Bake at 375 for 10-15 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #16 In small bowl, mix all glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency.
  • Step #17 Drizzle over warm rolls.
  • Step #18 Serve warm.
