Whiskey Crème Brûlée Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps sugar .
  • 50 ml whiskey .
  • 4 egg yolks .
  • brown sugar or muscovado sugar .
  • Caramel topping .
  • 200 ml whipping cream .
  • 200 ml milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 120°C Whip yolks & sugar until light.
  • Step #2 Stir in milk, cream & whiskey.
  • Step #3 Pour into 4 buttered ramekins.
  • Step #4 Bake in the preheated oven until set,5 hrs (start checking early, about 1, the time depends on the depth of the ramekins).
  • Step #5 Take out of the oven & allow this to cool completely; then place this in the frige for a few hrs.
  • Step #6 Just before serving, sprinkle brown or muscovado sugar on top of each cold crème brûlée.
  • Step #7 Caramelize the sugar by using a torch or putting under a broiler.
