Caramel Apple Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 medium tart apples, peeled & cored & sliced into 1/2-inch wedges .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 3 tbsps sliced pecans or walnuts .
  • 1 lb boneless pork chops .
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon .
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Saute pork chops in olive oil, 5-6 mins, turning every once in awhile, until both sides are evenly browned.
  • Step #3 Remove; keep warm.
  • Step #4 In a small bowl, pepper,salt, mix brown sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg.
  • Step #5 Add butter to skillet.
  • Step #6 Stir in brown sugar mixture & apples.
  • Step #7 Cover up & cook for 5 mins or just until apples are tender.
  • Step #8 Remove apples with a slotted spoon & arrange on top of chops; keep warm.
  • Step #9 Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly; about 4-5 mins.
  • Step #10 Spoon sauce over apples & chops.
  • Step #11 Sprinkle top with nuts & serve.
