Lowfat Oamc Breakfast Sausages Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb lean pork, ground .
  • 1 apple, peeled & quartered .
  • 1 medium onion, peeled & quartered .
  • 1 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1 lb ground turkey breast .
  • 1 1/2 tsps salt .
  • 2 tbsps dried parsley .
  • 2 tbsps Essence of Emeril .
  • 1 c rolled oats .
  • 3/4 c egg substitute .
  • 1 1/2 tsps sage

Directions
  • Step #1 In the food processor/blender add the apple & onion & chop into fine pieces.
  • Step #2 Do not puree.
  • Step #3 Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl & mix well.
  • Step #4 Be sure all the spices are mixed into the mix.
  • Step #5 Heat the George Foreman Grill & make patties out of the sausage mixture in the size your family likes.
  • Step #6 Grill four patties at a time for four mins.
  • Step #7 Set aside to cool & continue to grill the patties until all the mixture is used.
  • Step #8 (I freeze about two c of raw sausage for breakfast casserole recipes).
  • Step #9 I use Press & Seal plastic wrap & when patties are cooled I package four patties for each freezer bag.
  • Step #10 To re-heat just remove as many as you need & microwave for one min per patty.
