Bbq Pork Shoulder Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp ginger .
  • 1 tbsp onion powder .
  • 1 1/2 c cider vinegar .
  • 1/4 c brown sugar .
  • 1 small onion, minced .
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder .
  • 2 tbsps dark corn syrup .
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes .
  • 2 tsps kosher salt .
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper .
  • 1 tsp turmeric .
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt .
  • 2 tsps red pepper flakes .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar .
  • 3 tbsps kosher salt .
  • Rub .
  • 2 tbsps worcestershire sauce .
  • 1/4 c paprika .
  • 1 tsp pepper .
  • 1/4 c brown sugar .
  • 3 c cider vinegar .
  • 1 (6-8 lb) bone in pork shoulder .
  • 1 tsp pepper .
  • 1 c chili sauce .
  • 3 tbsps pepper .
  • 3 tbsps molasses .
  • Basting Sauce .
  • 2 tbsps hot sauce .
  • 1 tbsp celery seeds .
  • The Sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine dry rub ingredients & rub all over pork shoulder.
  • Step #2 Cover up & put in the fridge for 24 hrs.
  • Step #3 Combine ingredients for basting sauce & mix thoroughtly; cover & put in the fridge overnight to mix flavors.
  • Step #4 Preheat oven to 250.
  • Step #5 Place pork shoulder in roaster pan with a rack underneath.
  • Step #6 Brush some of the basting sauce over pork.
  • Step #7 Cook for 8-9 hrs or until pork falls apart, basting every hr.
  • Step #8 Meanwhile, mix barbeque sauce ingredients in saucepan & bring to a boil.
  • Step #9 Reduce heat & let simmer uncovered for 30 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve with pork.
  • Step #11 It would be great served on buns with the sauce.
