Hawaiian Omelet Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp water .
  • 1 tbsp flaked coconut .
  • Omelet .
  • Filling .
  • 1/8 tsp salt .
  • 3 large eggs .
  • 2 tbsps crushed pineapple, drained .
  • Garnish .
  • papayas, slices .
  • 1 tsp butter or margarine .
  • mint leaves .
  • fresh ground pepper .
  • 1/3 c sliced cooked ham

Directions
  • Step #1 To make the filling: in a bowl, pineapple, mix together the ham, & coconut; set aside.
  • Step #2 To make the omelet: Whisk the eggs, salt, water, & pepper together in a bowl.
  • Step #3 Heat an 8-inch omelet pan or nonstick skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #4 Add butter; tilt pan to coat bottom of pan with melted butter.
  • Step #5 When butter foams, pour in egg mixture all at once.
  • Step #6 Let set about 20 seconds or until edges begin to cook.
  • Step #7 Using a spatula, carefully lift edges of mixture & tip skillet to allow the uncooked egg mixture to flow underneath.
  • Step #8 Continue doing this until the top is almost dry.
  • Step #9 Spoon ham mixture over one half of the omelet.
  • Step #10 Fold the other side over to cover.
  • Step #11 Let stand for a few seconds to allow ham mixture to warm.
  • Step #12 Transfer to a warmed plate.
  • Step #13 Garnish with papaya slices & a mint leaf.
  • Step #14 Serve as soon as possible.
