Hamburger Cabbage Gravy Over Steamed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 large sweet onion .
  • 3 large baking potatoes, skins on, cut in eighths .
  • 1 lb lean ground beef .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper .
  • 1/2 head green cabbage, sliced medium .
  • 1 (26 oz) can cream of mushroom soup (family size) .
  • 1/3 c 1% low-fat milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown hamurger with onion & salt & pepper over medium high heat.
  • Step #2 When almost brown, add in cabbage & white ground pepper.
  • Step #3 Reduce heat to medium & cook this until cabbage is wilted & soft.
  • Step #4 Add in soup & milk, stir until well mixd.
  • Step #5 Cover up & reduce heat to medium low & let simmer 20 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 While gravy is simmering, steam potatoes for 25-30 mins, or until done.
  • Step #7 Serve gravy over fork-mashed potatoes.
