Step #3 Cover & chill 1 hr or until firm enough to roll this into balls.
Step #4 Meanwhile, in a small bowl, lightly beat egg white.
Step #5 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step #6 Shape dough into 1 inch balls; dip in egg white, then roll in nuts.

Step #8 Make an indentation with thumb in center of each cookie.

Step #10 To Make the Filling: In a small bowl, mix 1/2 c confectioner's sugar, 1 tbsp of butter or margarine, 2 tsps of milk & 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract.
Step #11 Mix until smooth.
Step #12 Spoon 1/4 tsp of the filling into each warm cookie; carefully press a chocolate kiss (unwrapped) in the center.
Step #13 Carefully remove this from baking sheet to wire racks to cool.
