1 (17 oz) package put in the fridged cooked beef roast au jus sauce .
1 (4 1/2 oz) jar sliced mushrooms .
5 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella cheese .
1/2 of a small onion .
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning, crushed .
5 hoagie rolls or hamburger buns, split
Directions
Step #1 On a cutting board use a sharp knife to cut the onion into very small pieces.
Step #2 Open the jar of mushrooms.
Step #3 Place a colander or strainer into the sink.
Step #4 Empty mushrooms into colander & let the liquid drain into the sink.
Step #5 Save onion & mushrooms until Step 3.
Step #6 Use scissors to cut open the meat package.
Step #7 Carefully pour the meat & juices into a large bowl.
Step #8 Use 2 forks to break the meat up into small pieces.
Step #9 Pour the meat & juices into a saucepan.
Step #10 Add the onion, mushrooms, & Italian seasoning to the meat mixture.
Step #11 Put saucepan on a burner.
Step #12 Turn burner to medium-high heat.
Step #13 Cook for 10 mins or until mixture is hot, stirring now & then with a wooden spoon.
Step #14 Turn off burner.
Step #15 Remove saucepan from burner.
Step #16 Turn on a broiler.
Step #17 Place both halves of the buns , cut sides up, on a baking sheet or broiler pan; broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat for 1 to 2 mins or until toasted.
Step #18 Use hot pads to remove pan from oven.
Step #19 Set buns tops aside.
Step #20 Use a stotted spoon to spoon the meat mixture onto the bun bottoms.
Step #21 Top each with a chees slice.
Step #22 Use hot pads to place baking sheet under broiler again.
