Buttermilk Pan Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 tsp baking soda .
  • 1 1/2 c warm buttermilk (110 to 115) .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 c warm water (110 to 115) .
  • 3 tbsps sugar .
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil .
  • 2 (1/4 oz) packages active dry yeast

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Step #2 Add buttermilk, oil & sugar.
  • Step #3 Combine flour, baking soda & salt; add to yeast mixture & beat until smooth.
  • Step #4 Do not knead.
  • Step #5 Let stand for 10 mins.
  • Step #6 Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface; punch down.
  • Step #7 Shape into 24 balls & place this in two greased 9-inch square baking pans.
  • Step #8 Cover up & let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 mins.
  • Step #9 Bake at 400° for 20 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #10 Remove to wire racks.
