Oriental Crunch Burgers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps slice green onions .
  • 1/2 c fresh bean sprouts (or canned drained) .
  • 4 hamburger buns or kaiser rolls, split & toasted .
  • 3/4 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger .
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce .
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground pork .
  • 1/2 c water chestnuts, drained & sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 In bowl mix ground meet, salt & d ginger.
  • Step #2 Shape into 8 ¼ inch patties.
  • Step #3 Combine sprouts, chestnuts, onion & soy sauce.
  • Step #4 Toss together lightly.
  • Step #5 Place about 2 tbsps mixture on top of each of 4 patties to within ½ inch of edge.
  • Step #6 Top with remaining patties.
  • Step #7 Seal edges Place patties on rack on unheated broiler.
  • Step #8 Broil 3 inches from heat turning once.
  • Step #9 For beef allow about 10 mins total cooking time for medium, more for well.
  • Step #10 For pork broil 12-15 mins or until well done.
  • Step #11 Serve on buns or rolls.
