Tamale Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs Velveeta reduced fat cheese product .
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced .
  • 2 (10 oz) cans rotel .
  • 1 dozen tamales .
  • 1 (4 oz) can green chilies, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix all ingredients except tamales in crockpot & heat until melted.
  • Step #2 Remove corn husks from tamales & crumble into melted cheese mixture.
  • Step #3 Frozen or canned tamales are fine.
  • Step #4 Thaw if frozen.
  • Step #5 Have a bowl of tortilla or corn chips available to scoop up dip or warm flour or corn tortillas so they can use as a filling.
  • Step #6 To make it more figure friendly I like to also serve this with fresh veggies like shredded lettuce & sliced tomato! Makes a great & different taco (tamale) salad.
