Jumbo Cream Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • Topping .
  • 1 1/2 c packed light brown sugar .
  • Dough .
  • 1 c warm milk .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1 c warm water .
  • 1-2 tbsp cinnamon .
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/2 c packed light brown sugar .
  • 1/2 c shortening .
  • 3/4 c heavy whipping cream .
  • 2 (1/4 oz) packages yeast .
  • 6 1/2-6 3/4 c flour .
  • Filling

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Step #2 Add the milk, salt, sugar, shortening, egg, & 3 c of flour; beat until smooth.
  • Step #3 Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  • Step #4 You might not need the full amount.
  • Step #5 Knead on a floured surface until smooth & elastic, about 6-8 mins.
  • Step #6 Place in a greased bowl, cover & let rise until doubled, about 1 hr.
  • Step #7 Punch dough down & roll this into a 18x12 inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  • Step #8 Combine filling ingredients & sprinkle it over dough.
  • Step #9 Roll up jelly roll style & cut into 12 slices using thread or dental floss.
  • Step #10 Combine topping ingredients & pour this into 2 greased 8 inch square dishes.
  • Step #11 Place rolls on top of topping, cover & let rise until doubled, about 45 mins.
  • Step #12 Bake at 350 for 30-40 mins (every oven is different).
  • Step #13 Cool for 5 mins before inverting onto serving platter.
