Healthier Garlic Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 (4 inch) whole wheat pita bread .
  • 1/2 tsp paprika .
  • 4 tsps grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1/8 tsp salt .
  • 1 large garlic clove, peeled & halved .
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano .
  • 2 tsps olive oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat broiler.
  • Step #2 Cut a slit on both sides of the pita & carefully pry (or cut) the pita so that you have 2 circles from each pita.
  • Step #3 Lightly brush the rough side with olive oil.
  • Step #4 Rub each pita circle with the garlic clove.
  • Step #5 Cut each pita circle into quarters.
  • Step #6 Arrange the pita pieces on a cookie sheet, single layer.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top the parmesan, salt, paprika & oregano over the pita pieces.
  • Step #8 Place 6 inches from broiler & broil 2-3 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #9 ***Watch them carefully while broiling as they will quickly go from finished to burnt.
