Baked Italian Mashed Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • salt & black pepper (to taste) .
  • 1/2 c milk .
  • 3 tbsps grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1/2 c breadcrumbs .
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cubed .
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled .
  • 6 large potatoes .
  • 1/2 c butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Boil potatoes with garlic until tender & drain.
  • Step #2 Mash potatoes & garlic together & add 6 tbsps of the butter & then add the milk.
  • Step #3 Mash until potatoes are smooth.
  • Step #4 Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #5 Add mozzarella & Parmesan cheeses.
  • Step #6 Stir to mix.
  • Step #7 Use 1 tbsp of the remaining butter to grease the bottom & sides of a casserole dish.
  • Step #8 Coat the bottom & sides with breadcrumbs.
  • Step #9 Spoon potato mixture into the dish & dot the top this with the remaining tbsp of butter.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350° for about 15 mins or until the top is golden brown.
