Spiced Whole Wheat Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps honey .
  • 1/4 c sliced walnuts or pecans .
  • 1 tbsp baking powder .
  • Honey-Cinnamon Topping .
  • 1/4 c vegetable oil .
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 3 large eggs .
  • 2 c whole wheat flour .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 2 c milk .
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 1/2 c honey .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 tsp ground coriander

Directions
  • Step #1 To make Honey-Cinnamon Topping: Place a small saucepan on low heat; add honey & cinnamon; stir for 1 min.
  • Step #2 Add in butter & stir until melted; keep warm.
  • Step #3 To make pancakes: In a big mixing bowl, mix flour, spices, baking powder, & salt; set aside.
  • Step #4 In another bowl, milk, whisk the eggs, oil, & honey together; add to the dry ingredients & mix well.
  • Step #5 Fold in nuts.
  • Step #6 Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #7 Lightly brush with vegetable oil.
  • Step #8 Pour 1/4 c batter onto griddle for each pancake.
  • Step #9 Cook until bubbles form on the surface; flip pancake over & cook this until the other side is golden.
  • Step #10 Serve warm pancakes with Honey-Cinnamon Topping.
