Pork N' Vegetable Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • pepper .
  • 1 (14 oz) can tomato sauce .
  • 1 1/2 c sliced onions .
  • 3 lbs pork, cubed (1 inch) .
  • 1/2 c turnips, cubed (1/2 inch) .
  • 1/4 tsp savory .
  • 4 c potatoes, sliced 1/8 inch thick .
  • 1 c sliced carrots .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps oil .
  • 1/2 c parsnips, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown pork in oil.
  • Step #2 Place in 3 1/2 qt casserole.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top over half of the seasonings.
  • Step #4 Arrange half of onions over meat.
  • Step #5 Top with carrots, turnip & parsnip.
  • Step #6 Arrange half of the potatoes over the vegetables.
  • Step #7 Cover up with remaining onion & seasonings.
  • Step #8 Pour tomato sauce over all.
  • Step #9 Arrange remaining potatoes on top.
  • Step #10 cover & cook 350F 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
  • Step #11 Remove cover for last 45 mins to allow potatoes to brown.
  • Step #12 Garnish with sliced parsley & paprika.
