Cran Apple Crumble Recipe

Step #1 In a sauce pan, mix orange juice, 3/4 c of sugar & orange peel; mix well.
Step #2 Bring to a boil.
Step #3 Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
Step #4 Add cranberries; simmer, uncovered, for 8 to 10 mins or until berries begin to pop.
Step #5 Remove from heat.
Step #6 Melt butter In a large-ish saucepan.
Step #7 Stir in syrup, honey & remaining sugar.
Step #8 Add apples; cook over med heat for 5 mins.
Step #9 Remove from heat; stir in the cranberry mixture.
Step #10 Sprinkle top with tapioca; mix carefully.
Step #11 Let stand 15 mins.
Step #12 Transfer to a greased 13 x9 inch baking dish.
Step #13 For topping, mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg in a bowl, cut in butter & almond paste until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step #14 Sprinkle top crumb mixture & almonds over cranberry mixture (pan will be full!).
Step #15 Bake at 400F degrees for 15 to 20 mins or until bubbly around the edges.
