Bar Burgers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 hamburger buns .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 2 lbs hamburger .
  • pepper .
  • kosher salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat griddle or cast iron pan on medium high heat.
  • Step #2 Without disturbing grind marks, carefully divide hamburger into 6 sections.
  • Step #3 Place hamburger sections on hot griddle.
  • Step #4 Press hamburgers down onto griddle with a heavy spatula.
  • Step #5 Use pressure.
  • Step #6 this causes the hamburgers to stick to the griddle & prevents shrinkage.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top tops with salt & pepper & any other spices you may want to use.
  • Step #8 When the edges look cooked & juices rise to the top, turn over & press down again.
  • Step #9 When bottoms are browned, & burger is to desired doneness, remove this from griddle & set aside.
  • Step #10 Cover up with foil wrap or wax paper.
  • Step #11 Spread cut sides of buns lightly with butter.
  • Step #12 Place butter side down on griddle until lightly browned.
  • Step #13 Place burgers on buns & top this with your favorite toppings.
