Ingredients
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
  • 2 1/2 c pitted sour cherries
  • 3/4 c white sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
  • Step #2 Mix sugar, & salt; toss with cherries, flour, mixing well.
  • Step #3 Pour cherry filling into pie shell, & dot with butter or margarine.
  • Step #4 Weave strips of pastry into a lattice top.
  • Step #5 Bake at 400F degrees F (205 degrees C) for 40 mins.
