Ingredients
1/2 tsp cayenne .
1/2 tsp garlic powder .
1 tsp salt .
4-6 sausages, your favourite kind .
3/4 c brown sugar .
3 tbsps soy sauce .
1 1/2 tsps pepper .
1/2 tsp paprika .
1/4 tsp lemon juice .
3/4 c flour
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step #2 Prick your sausages all over so's to aid in the release of the fatty juices.
Step #3 Mix flour, salt & pepper in a small bowl.
Step #4 (I usually just use a cereal bowl.
Step #5 ).
Step #6 Roll the sausages in the flour mixture until covered.
Step #7 Place all sausages on a broiling pan & place on middle rack in oven.
Step #8 Bake for about 40 mins.
Step #9 Turning sausages over after 20 mins.
Step #10 Put brown sugar in a small bowl.
Step #11 I usually use the same bowl I used for the flour.
Step #12 Add the soy sauce.
Step #13 You want to make the brown sugar into a paste.
Step #14 So you may need to decrease or increase the amount listed.
Step #15 (I usually just pour from the bottle so I am not definite on the measurement.
Step #16 ).
Step #17 Mix in the lemon juice.
Step #18 Then add the spices.
Step #19 These can be adjusted according to taste.
Step #20 (I sometimes put as much as double the spices in.
Step #21 ).
Step #22 Using a pastry brush, coat the tops & sides of the sausages with the brown sugar mixture.
Step #23 Make sure you leave enough in the bowl to coat the sausages at least once more.
Step #24 Leave the sausages in for another 10 mins.
Step #25 Then turn them all over.
Step #26 Coat them with some more sauce.
Step #27 Let cook for 10 more mins.
Step #28 At this point, some would consider the sausages done.
Step #29 You can take them out now & enjoy them.
Step #30 Or you can keep coating & turning the sausages until they are done to your preference.
Step #31 (We like ours cooked to the point where the start to shrivel -- I know, weird.
Step #32 ).
