Hearty And Healthy Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c whole wheat flour .
  • syrup .
  • 1/2 c cornmeal .
  • 1 c flour .
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder .
  • 3 tbsps butter or margarine, melted .
  • 1/2 c quick-cooking oats .
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda .
  • 1 egg .
  • 2 tbsps sugar .
  • 2 1/2 c 1% fat buttermilk .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
  • Step #2 In a small bowl, buttermilk, beat egg, & butter; stir in theto dry ingredients just until moistened.
  • Step #3 Pour batter by 1/4 cfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top.
  • Step #4 Cook until second side is golden brown.
  • Step #5 Serve with syrup or desired topping.
