Apricot Jam Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 c water .
  • 12 c sugar .
  • 2 3/4 kg apricots, halved & stoned .
  • 10-12 apricot kernels

Directions
  • Step #1 Crack a few apricot stones & remove kernels.
  • Step #2 Put apricots, kernels & water into a preserving pan.
  • Step #3 Cook slowly until fruit is pulpy.
  • Step #4 Add Sugar.
  • Step #5 Stir until dissolved.
  • Step #6 Boil briskly for 30 mins or until setting point is reached.
  • Step #7 Remove the kernels & pour jam into sterilised jars.
  • Step #8 Makes about 10x350ml jars.
