Plum Kuchen Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1 tsp baking powder .
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar .
  • 1/2 c heavy cream .
  • 2 c pitted & sliced plums .
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 2 tbsps heavy cream .
  • Custard .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 egg

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step #2 Mix flour, 1 tbsp sugar & baking powder together.
  • Step #3 Cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs; add 2 tbsps heavy cream & 1 egg.
  • Step #4 Press in bottom of 9-inch square pan or pie pan & arrange plums on top.
  • Step #5 Bake for 25-30 mins.
  • Step #6 While this is baking, sugar, egg & vanilla, in a bowl mix heavy cream, using a whisk to beat together well.
  • Step #7 Pour mixture over plums & bake an extra 20-30 mins, until custard is set.
  • Step #8 Serve warm or cool.
  • Step #9 Store in refrigerator.
