Ingredients
  • TOPPING .
  • 6 tbsps butter or margarine, melted .
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 c granulated sugar .
  • 2/3 c milk .
  • 1 1/2 c cranberries, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp milk .
  • 4 tsps baking powder .
  • 2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 large egg .
  • 1 orange, zest of

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine Flour , sugar, baking powder & salt in large bowl.
  • Step #2 Make a well in centre.
  • Step #3 Beat egg in small bowl until frothy.
  • Step #4 Add margarine & milk.
  • Step #5 Mix.
  • Step #6 Pour into well.
  • Step #7 Beat egg in small bowl until frothy.
  • Step #8 Add margarine & milk.
  • Step #9 Mix.
  • Step #10 Pour into well.
  • Step #11 Add cranberries & orange zest.
  • Step #12 Stir until just moistened.
  • Step #13 Turn out onto well-floured surface.
  • Step #14 Knead 8 to 10 times.
  • Step #15 Divide into 2 equal portions.
  • Step #16 Pat each into 6 inch (15 cm) circle.
  • Step #17 Arrange on greased baking sheet.
  • Step #18 Topping.
  • Step #19 Brush tops with milk.
  • Step #20 Sprinkle top with sugar.
  • Step #21 Score each circle into 6 wedges.
  • Step #22 Bake in 425°F (220°C) oven for about 15 mins until risen & lightly golden.
