Spiced Matzalan Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps ground cumin .
  • 1 lemon, cut into 4 wedges .
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper .
  • 4 tbsps Greek yogurt .
  • 1 onion, finely sliced .
  • 1 tsp ground allspice .
  • 1 red onion, thibly sliced .
  • 500 g ground lamb .
  • 4 small middle eastern flat bread .
  • 4 tbsps roughly sliced fresh coriander .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 lettuce

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the lamb, cumin, onion, salt, allspice, cayenne & coriander in a food processor/blender & whizz until well mixed.
  • Step #2 Using wet hands, shaoe the mixture into 20 meatballs & cook over hot coals for 10 mins, turning frequently until well browned.
  • Step #3 Warm the flat breads in a frying pan for 1-2 mins on each side until softened & warmed through.
  • Step #4 Scatter lettuce leaves & red onion over the flat breads.
  • Step #5 Arrange the meatballs on top & drizzle with a little yogurt.
  • Step #6 Serve with the lemon wedges.
