Greek-style Corn On The Cob A La Evelyn Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil .
  • 1/4 tsp sugar .
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced finely .
  • pepper .
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin .
  • salt .
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh Greek oregano, minced .
  • 2 tbsps fresh basil, minced .
  • 1 tbsp fresh Italian parsley, minced .
  • 4 ears corn, husked & silk removed .
  • 1-2 pinch ground cinnamon .
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh mint, minced .
  • 1/3 c butter, melted

Directions
  • Step #1 Prepare the corn for cooking & set aside.
  • Step #2 Meantime heat grill or bring to boil a large pan of water.
  • Step #3 (For stove top directions, read *NOTE below.
  • Step #4 ).
  • Step #5 Melt butter then stir in the all the other ingredients.
  • Step #6 Mix well.
  • Step #7 (Can use a mini-mixer to facilitate.
  • Step #8 ).
  • Step #9 Using a pastry brush, apply the butter mixture lightly & evenly on each corn cob.
  • Step #10 Grill for about 2 mins all around, until cooked but not burnt.
  • Step #11 Keep basting on the butter mixture to the corn as it cooks.
  • Step #12 Serve as soon as possible.
  • Step #13 *NOTE: To cook on stop top, bring water to boil.
  • Step #14 Carefully add the corn to the water.
  • Step #15 Reduce heat & cover & let corn sit in water for about 5 mins.
  • Step #16 Drain.
  • Step #17 Baste on the butter mixture.
