Cinnamony Peach Bisquits Recipe

Ingredients
  • Topping .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon .
  • 2 tsps baking powder .
  • 1 1/2 c flour .
  • 2 tbsps milk .
  • Biscuits .
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon .
  • 4 tbsps milk .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 c sliced peaches .
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 400.
  • Step #2 Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, & cinnamon.
  • Step #3 Add the butter & rub it in until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs.
  • Step #4 Mix in the sugar & peaches carefully to avoid crushing the fruit.
  • Step #5 Add the milk slowly, stirring until you have a soft dough.
  • Step #6 Knead carefully on a floured surface for about 2 mins, then roll out until 3/4 inch thick.
  • Step #7 Use a biscuit cutter or a jar lid to cut approximately 2 1/2 inch rounds.
  • Step #8 Place on greased baking sheet.
  • Step #9 Combine brown sugar & cinnamon for topping.
  • Step #10 Brush tops of biscuit with milk & sprinkle cinnamon brown sugar mix on top.
  • Step #11 Bake at 400F for 15-20 mins until golden brown.
  • Step #12 Cool, split & serve this with butter, fruit, or whipped cream.
