Fried Leeks (garnish) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
  • vegetable oil (for deep frying) .
  • 2 large leeks (All of the white part & 1-inch of the green, cleaned & julienned) .
  • 1/2 c cornstarch .
  • fine sea salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium sauce pot heat oil to 350 degrees F.
  • Step #2 Sift cornstarch & flour together.
  • Step #3 Dust leeks in flour/cornstarch & fry until golden brown, about 30 seconds.
  • Step #4 Drain on a paper towel, season this with sea salt.
