Step #3 mix flour, sugar, & baking powder in a medium bowl --
In a large-ish bowl, cream butter, egg & extracts.
Step #4 add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Step #5 on a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/8th" thickness.
Step #6 using desired cookie cutter.
Step #7 ( I used one like a sock or stocking) -- cut out dough.
Step #8 transfer cookies to a lightly greased cookie sheet & bake 8-10 or until very lightly browned around edges --
remove this from pans & cool on wire rack.
Step #9 to prepare icing:.
Step #10 beat confectioners sugar, milk & butter until smooth --
tint deep red, or desired color --
ice cookies as desired.
