Dippedanillas Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp shortening
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch
  • 1/2 c ground almonds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c butter (no substitutes), softened
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 (1 oz) squares semisweet chocolate

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, cream butter, almonds, sugar & vanilla; add flour & cornstarch.
  • Step #2 Roll into 1-in.
  • Step #3 balls; shape into crescents & place on greased baking sheets.
  • Step #4 Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-10 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #5 Cool completely on wire racks.
  • Step #6 Melt chocolate & shortening in a microwave or double boiler; stir until smooth.
  • Step #7 Dip one end of each crescent into chocolate; cool on waxed paper.
  • Step #8 Refrigerate for about 30 mins to firm the chocolate.
