Mini M&m's (or Chocolate Chip) Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

5 1/4 c flour .
1 (12 oz) bag miniature M&M chocolate candies or chocolate chips or butterscotch chips .
1 1/2 c white sugar .
1 1/2 c brown sugar .
1/2 tbsp salt .
6 tbsps hot water .
1/2 tbsp baking soda .
1/2 tbsp vanilla .
3 large eggs .
1 1/2 c shortening

Directions

Step #1 Cream sugars & shortening together; stir in the eggs, vanilla & hot water; add dry ingredients & stir until mixd; carefully stir in the mini M&M's last.
Step #2 Drop dough by heaping tspfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Step #3 Bake at 375° for 9 mins or until cookies are light golden brown.
