Karin Calloway's Philly Cheese Meatball Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 hoagie rolls, split & warmed .
  • 1 small onion, cut into thin wedges .
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into strips .
  • 2 tsps vegetable oil .
  • 1 (18 oz) package frozen fully-cooked meatballs (about 35 balls) .
  • 3/4 c pasteurized low-fat process cheese sauce, heated

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the oil In a large-ish nonstick skillet over med-heat/flame until hot.
  • Step #2 Add bell pepper & onion.
  • Step #3 Cook & stir 3 mins.
  • Step #4 Add meatballs.
  • Step #5 Cover up & cook 13 to 14 mins, or until meatballs are heated through & vegetables are tender, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 Spoon meatball mixture into rolls & drizzle with heated cheese sauce.
  • Step #7 Young picky eaters may like only the meatballs & cheese sauce.
  • Step #8 In that case serve them just that, & leave the vegetables for the adults.
