• 1 c sugar .
• 1 c all-purpose flour .
• 1 c sliced walnuts, toasted .
• 3 large egg whites .
• 1 c sliced pitted dates .
• 1 tsp vanilla

• Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°.
• Step #2 Lightly coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray; set aside.
• Step #3 In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites & vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
• Step #4 (tips curl) -- slowly add sugar, 2 tbsps at a time, beating on high speed until stiff peaks form.
• Step #5 (tips stand straight) & sugar is almost dissolved.
• Step #6 Gently stir in the flour, dates & nuts.
• Step #7 Drop mixture by rounded tspsful 2" apart onto prepared cookie sheet.
• Step #8 Bake in the preheated oven for 8 mins or until bottoms are lightly browned.
• Step #9 Cool on cookie sheet for 1 min.
• Step #10 Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
