1/4 c onions, finely sliced (can use white or green) .
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
1 tbsp lemon juice (or to taste) .
1 tsp liquid smoke flavoring .
1/3 c finely sliced parsley (or to taste, or to taste) .
1 c finely sliced walnuts .
1 (1 lb) can salmon (preferably red salmon) .
lemon pepper (can use black pepper) .
1-2 tsp horseradish
Directions
Step #1 Drain the salmon (squeeze out any excess moisture with hands) & remove the skin & bones.
Step #2 Combine the salmon with the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, horseradish, onion, salt, lemon pepper (or black pepper) & liquid smoke flavoring; mix well to mix.
Step #3 Shape the salmon mixture into a form of a log (about 8 x 8-inches long).
Step #4 Combine the finely sliced nuts with the parsley, & coat the outside of the salmon log with the nut mixture.
Step #5 Place the log onto serving plate & cover with plastic wrap.
Step #6 Chill for a minumum of 5 hrs before serving (overnight is even better).
Step #7 *NOTE* if you are molding the salmon, chill the mold for a minumum of 8 hrs (or overnight is even better) before unmolding onto serving plate.
Step #8 Sprinkle top the top of the salmon with the parsley/nut mixture before serving.
