Crunchy Pizza Dough Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (1/4 oz) package active dry yeast .
  • 3/4 c warm water .
  • 1/4 c cornmeal .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 2 c flour

Directions
  • Step #1 In a small bowl, mix yeast & warm water.
  • Step #2 Let stand for 8 to 10 mins or until it is bubbly, then add olive oil.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile, using the cutting blade, mix flour, in the bowl of a food processor/blender, cornmeal & salt.
  • Step #4 With food processor/blender running, slowly add yeast mixture through tube & mix until dough comes to a ball.
  • Step #5 Place dough into a lightly oiled bowl, turn over to coat with oil & cover with plastic wrap.
  • Step #6 Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
  • Step #7 Spread dough out onto a 10x15 baking sheet & let rise for about 15 mins.
  • Step #8 Top with tomato sauce & your favorite toppings & bake this at 450° for about 15 mins or until brown & crispy.
