Saffron Rice With Cashews And Raisins Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/4 c water .
1 tsp salt .
2 tbsps butter, softened .
5 cloves .
1/4 tsp crumbled saffron threads .
1/4 c sliced cashews .
2 bay leaves .
1/4 c raisins .
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half .
1 1/2 c basmati rice

Directions

Step #1 Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
Step #2 Put the rice in a medium saucepan with the water, cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, saffron, & salt.
Step #3 Bring to a boil, covered, reduce the heat to low, & cook, for 15 mins.
Step #4 Remove from the heat & let sit, without removing the lid, for 10 mins.
Step #5 With a fork, cashews, carefully stir in the the butter, & raisins.
