Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c whipping cream .
  • 1/4 c peanut butter chips, to garnish .
  • 1/4 c powdered sugar .
  • 1 1/2 c smooth peanut butter .
  • 1/3 c cocoa .
  • 2 tbsps boiling water .
  • 1 tsp unflavored gelatin .
  • 2 tbsps milk .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 1 tbsp cold water .
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened .
  • 1 (9 inch) graham cracker pie crusts or shortbread pie crusts .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/3 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Beat peanut butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese, & milk until very smooth.
  • Step #2 Spread mixture evenly in pie crust.
  • Step #3 In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water; let this stand 1 min to soften.
  • Step #4 Add boiling water; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Step #5 Cool slightly.
  • Step #6 Mix sugar with cocoa; then add whipping cream & vanilla.
  • Step #7 Beat at medium speed until stiff.
  • Step #8 Pour in gelatin mixture, beating until well mixed.
  • Step #9 Spread evenly over peanut butter layer.
  • Step #10 Refrigerate for several hrs.
  • Step #11 Garnish with peanut butter chips.
  • Step #12 Store, covered, in Refrigerator.
