Grilled Fruit With Chocolate Yogurt Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 oz ouzo .
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar .
  • 1/2 oz bittersweet chocolate .
  • 1 c plain yogurt .
  • 1 lb large strawberries .
  • 4 tbsps balsamic vinegar .
  • 1 cantaloupe .
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut canteloupe in half vertically & take seeds out & cut the canteloupe in 2 inch wedges.
  • Step #2 Hull & rinse the strawberries.
  • Step #3 Mix the balsamic, & lime juice together & put In a large-ish zip lock.
  • Step #4 Place the fruit in the bag a little at a time coating them thoroughly & put on a plate till all fruit is covered.
  • Step #5 Take the 1 oz of ouzo & brown sugar & heat to a boil.
  • Step #6 Shut off heat & remove this from burner.
  • Step #7 Place the 1/2 oz bittersweet chocolate into the pan & allow to melt stirring constantly so it wont stick to bottom.
  • Step #8 Cool 5 mins & then add to 1 c yogurt in a small bowl.
  • Step #9 Mix thoroughly.
  • Step #10 Put in fridge till fruit is done.
  • Step #11 Heat up the grill & place canteloupe wedges on a medium flame for 3-4 mins a side or until well carmelized.
  • Step #12 Do the same with the strawberries.
  • Step #13 Remove the canteloup from the rind & cut two inch pieces & arrance fruit on a serving plate & place dip in middle.
  • Step #14 Have toothpicks handy to handle the fruit.
