Step #1 Grease a shallow baking dish.
Step #2 Place the sliced onions in bottom of the dish; set aside.
Step #3 In a shallow bowl or dish, 1/2 c Parmesan cheese, pepper, mix the bread crumbs, seasoning salt, cayenne pepper (if using) & garlic powder.
Step #4 Coat the chicken is eggs, then in bread crumb mixture.
Step #5 Brown the chicken in hot oil in a frypan until browned, & place on top of the onions in the baking dish.
Step #6 Pour the tomato sauce over chicken.
Step #7 Sprinkle top with mozzarella cheese, & then Parmesan cheese.
Step #8 Bake, uncover, covered in a 350 degree oven for about 30 mins, & bake for another 30 mins.
