Ingredients
1 tbsp red wine vinegar .
sour cream (optional) .
8 flour tortillas, warmed (10-inch) .
1 lb lean ground beef .
1 (4 oz) can sliced green chilies, undrained .
1 tsp ground red chili pepper .
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon .
1 egg, beaten .
1 onion, finely sliced .
1 tomato, sliced .
2 tbsps margarine, melted .
1/8 tsp ground cloves .
salsa (optional)
Directions
Step #1 Heat oven to 400°F.
Step #2 Brown ground beef & onion.
Step #3 Drain excess grease.
Step #4 Add red wine vinegar, red chiles, cloves, green chiles, cinnamon, & tomatoes.
Step #5 Bring to a boil, reduce heat & let simmer uncovered 15 mins.
Step #6 Spoon 1/2 c of the meat mixture into the center of each tortilla.
Step #7 Brush the edges of the tortillas with the beaten egg to seal.
Step #8 Fold the tortillas over the meat mixture to make a square bundle.
Step #9 Brush each chimichanga with melted margarine.
Step #10 Place on non-stick cookie sheet with seam side down.
Step #11 Bake 10-12 mins until lightly browned & heated through.
Step #12 Top with salsa & sour cream (optional).
