Kittencal's Garlic Parmesan Crostini Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 loaf French bread (the long narrow kind) .
  • 3/4 c butter (no subs please!) .
  • 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese (or more if needed) .
  • 1-2 tbsp dried parsley .
  • 2 tsps garlic powder (or to taste) .
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut the French bread into about 1 x 1 x 1/2 inch slices (I cut them diagonally).
  • Step #2 Microwave the butter & garlic powder & salt until melted.
  • Step #3 Set oven to 350° (use a convection oven bake if you have it).
  • Step #4 Lightly butter the bottom of a large cookie/baking sheet with butter-garlic mixture.
  • Step #5 Add in the parsley to the melted butter & mix well.
  • Step #6 Using a pastry brush, coat each side of the bread slices with the melted butter mixture.
  • Step #7 Place on cookie sheet.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top one side (can sprinkle both sides if desired) with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #9 Bake for about 5-6 mins (if using a convection bake there is no need to turn over).
  • Step #10 Turn over the slices & bake about 4-5 mins more, depending on how crispy you like them.
  • Step #11 Best served warm.
