Swedish Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 slice bread, crumbled .
  • 2 medium potatoes, raw, peeled & grated .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1/4 tsp ginger .
  • 1 tbsp onions, grated .
  • 2 lbs ground beef .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1/2 lb ground lean pork .
  • 1 tsp sugar .
  • 1/4 tsp allspice .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 2 whole eggs, beaten

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix all ingredients well.
  • Step #2 Form into small balls (1 inch).
  • Step #3 Fry in batches in butter/oil mixture over low-medium heat, stirring often.
  • Step #4 The meatballs should be well browned & juices run clear, about 10-15 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove & serve on a platter with a separate gravy made with pan drippings.
  • Step #6 Serve over mashed potatoes.
