Pecan Pie-topped Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c oil .
  • 1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • Brownies .
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1 c flour .
  • 3/4 c cocoa, sifted .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 2 c pecans or walnuts, finely sliced .
  • 4 eggs .
  • Topping .
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence .
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F & ligthly grease a large baking tin, approximately 9 x 12 inches.
  • Step #2 Melt the butter or margarine over low heat/flame in a small saucepan.
  • Step #3 Add the flour & stir until smooth.
  • Step #4 Add the vanilla, sugar & eggs & stir constantly for 5 or so min.
  • Step #5 Remove from heat & stir in the nuts.
  • Step #6 Set aside.
  • Step #7 Mix brownie ingredients together In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #8 Spread into baking pan.
  • Step #9 Spread topping over.
  • Step #10 Bake for 35-40 min Be careful not to overbake.
  • Step #11 Cool & cut into bars.
