Ingredients
1/2 c oil .
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed .
Brownies .
1 1/2 tsps baking powder .
2 eggs .
1 tsp vanilla essence .
2 tbsps flour .
1 c flour .
3/4 c cocoa, sifted .
1/4 tsp salt .
2 c pecans or walnuts, finely sliced .
4 eggs .
Topping .
1/2 tsp vanilla essence .
1/4 c butter or margarine
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F & ligthly grease a large baking tin, approximately 9 x 12 inches.
Step #2 Melt the butter or margarine over low heat/flame in a small saucepan.
Step #3 Add the flour & stir until smooth.
Step #4 Add the vanilla, sugar & eggs & stir constantly for 5 or so min.
Step #5 Remove from heat & stir in the nuts.
Step #6 Set aside.
Step #7 Mix brownie ingredients together In a large-ish bowl.
Step #8 Spread into baking pan.
Step #9 Spread topping over.
Step #10 Bake for 35-40 min Be careful not to overbake.
Step #11 Cool & cut into bars.
