Buffalo Wing Garlic-toasted Hoagies! Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (20 oz) bag southwestern-seasoned chicken breast, strips 7 serving size .
  • 8 tbsps thick chunky blue cheese dressing, I like Marie's .
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder .
  • 2 tbsps sliced fresh parsley .
  • 12 slices tomatoes, thin slices, I like Roma's (plum) .
  • 1 (1/2 c) bottle Frank's red hot sauce, original or Buffalo Wing flavor .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 8 slices muenster cheese .
  • 2 c shredded lettuce .
  • 1 tbsp sweet baby ray's barbecue sauce .
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 3/4 c butter, softened .
  • 2 tbsps minced garlic .
  • 2 tbsps finely sliced celery .
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split in half lengthwise

Directions
  • Step #1 In frying pan mix chicken, hot sauce, 4 Tbl.
  • Step #2 butter, bbq sauce & chili powder.
  • Step #3 Heat til simmering.
  • Step #4 Simmer on very low.
  • Step #5 In small bowl, mix 1 1/2 sticks soft butter, garlic & parsley.
  • Step #6 Spread insides of hoagie rolls with butter mixture, (both cut sides.
  • Step #7 ).
  • Step #8 Place open-faced on cookie sheet & broil til lightly toasted.
  • Step #9 Or 4 mins at 400º.
  • Step #10 Top each bottom half of hoagie rolls with meat mixture, (pile high), then top each with 2 slices muenster cheese.
  • Step #11 Return to oven & bake 2 more mins.
  • Step #12 Remove from oven & top each with lettuce tossed with celery, & a pinch each of salt & pepper.
  • Step #13 Top each with 3 tomato slices.
  • Step #14 Top each with 2 Tbl.
  • Step #15 blue cheese dressing.
  • Step #16 Place on top halves of toasted hoagie rolls.
  • Step #17 Cut in half on the bias.
  • Step #18 Makes 4 hoagies.
  • Step #19 *I use Tyson(fully cooked)Southwest Chicken Breast Strips for this this, but it just would NOT go into the computor right.
  • Step #20 **Note: You can make these with a purchased rotisserie chicken from your local grocery store, too.
  • Step #21 Just pick the meat off, & cut it into pieces.
  • Step #22 Leftover chicken, even BBQ’ed, also works well for this.
  • Step #23 In a PINCH, canned chicken (2-3 large cans) drained, also works.
