2 c self rising flour, you can make your own- see note .
2 tbsps mayonnaise .
1 c milk, any kind
Directions
Step #1 Mix flour, milk & mayo together.
Step #2 Turn out onto a floured board or countertop.
Step #3 Sprinkle top some extra flour on top of the dough.
Step #4 Just enough to make the dough easier for you to work with & not so sticky.
Step #5 You want to get it just to the not too sticky point but not add so much flour that they become dense.
Step #6 It is hard to say how much as this varies with the climate & humidity.
Step #7 Knead lightly just until the dough is smooth-about 6 times.
Step #8 The less you handle it the better the biscuits!
Pat into a square shape & make long cuts with a very sharp knife from top to bottom & then side to side--like a tic tac toe board with one extra line--to make 12 squares.
Step #9 I usually cut to make 12, but make them as large or small as you like.
Step #10 Place on lightly greased or sprayed cookie sheet just a tiny bit apart- about 1/2 inch- & bake this at 450°F for 15 to 20 mins or until browned on top.
Step #11 Brush the tops of biscuits with butter or spray with butter spray & serve as soon as possible.
Step #12 Note: Don't have any self-rising flour? Add 1 tsp salt & 1 T baking powder to the flour.
