Ramen Shrimp Pouch Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c mirin .
  • 4 c vegetable broth .
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional) .
  • 2 (3 oz) packages ramen noodles .
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt .
  • 1/4 c soy sauce .
  • 1/2 c sliced scallions .
  • 4 tsps sesame oil .
  • 1/2 c finely sliced onions .
  • 1/2 c dried mushrooms, sliced .
  • 20 large raw shrimp, peeled & deveined

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 400F degrees F.
  • Step #2 Divide ramen noodles evenly in center of each of the four pieces of aluminum foil wrap.
  • Step #3 Stack the following ingredients on top of noodles, scallions, in this order: mushrooms, red pepper flakes, shrimp, onions, & salt.
  • Step #4 Pull sides & corners of pouch up to form a small basket shape leaving an opening at the top to pour in liquid.
  • Step #5 In small bowl, soy sauce, mix vegetable broth, mirin, & sesame oil.
  • Step #6 Distribute liquid evenly among packs.
  • Step #7 Press foil wrap together, leaving a small opening to allow steam to escape.
  • Step #8 Place on cookie sheet & bake in oven for 15 mins.
  • Step #9 Serve as soon as possible.
