Almond Chocolate Toffee Crunchies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c butter, softened (no subs!) .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 c white sugar .
  • 1 c slivered almonds .
  • 1 tsp baking soda .
  • 3/4 c packed brown sugar .
  • 1 large egg .
  • 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 1/2 tsps almond extract (for a stronger almond flavor use 2 tsps extract) .
  • 1 (200 g) package skor toffee pieces .
  • 1 c oats (not quick or instant) .
  • 1 c milk chocolate chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Set oven to 375°.
  • Step #2 Set oven rack to second-lowest position.
  • Step #3 Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Step #4 In a bowl, beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, egg & almond extract for about 3-4 mins or until light & fluffy.
  • Step #5 In another bowl mix flour, oats, baking soda & salt.
  • Step #6 Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture until mixed.
  • Step #7 Stir/mix in toffee chips, milk chocolate chips & almonds; mix well to mix.
  • Step #8 Drop dough by tbspfuls onto baking sheet, leaving about 1-1/2 inches between dough.
  • Step #9 Bake for about 8-12 mins, or until light golden brown.
  • Step #10 Cool for 5 mins on sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
