Rigatoni With Sausage And Red Pepper Strips Yummy! Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 dash crushed red pepper flakes .
  • 1/4 c dry red wine (glass for the chef) .
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning .
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, crushed .
  • 6 oz Italian turkey sausage .
  • 1 3/4 c rigatoni pasta, uncooked .
  • 3/4 c red bell peppers, julienne cut .
  • vegetable oil cooking spray .
  • 1 dash crushed red pepper flakes .
  • 1/4 c onions, sliced .
  • no-salt-added whole tomatoes, undrained & sliced .
  • 1/4 c fresh Italian parsley, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt & fat.
  • Step #2 Drain & set aside.
  • Step #3 Coat a large skillet with cooking spray, & place over med-heat/flame until hot.
  • Step #4 Add onion, sauté 3 minuets.
  • Step #5 Add sausage & next 3 ingredients, cook 5 mins or until sausage is browned, stirring to crumble.
  • Step #6 Drain & set aside.
  • Step #7 Wipe skillet with paper towel.
  • Step #8 Coat skillet with spray; place over med-heat/flame until hot.
  • Step #9 Add bell pepper, sauté 4 mind.
  • Step #10 Add sausage mixture, tomatoes & wine, stir well.
  • Step #11 Bring to boil, reduce heat & let simmer 25 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #12 Stir in parsley.
