Chocolate Filled Bon Bons Recipe

Ingredients

3-4 hershey's milk chocolate candy kisses (or milk chocolate buds) .
2 tsps vanilla .
1 3/4 c flour .
1/2 c sugar .
1/4 c brown sugar .
1/2 tsp salt .
1 egg .
1/2 tsp almond extract .
1/2 c finely ground almonds .
1/2 tsp baking soda .
3/4 c shortening

Directions

Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step #2 Mix shortening & sugars.
Step #3 Add egg & extracts.
Step #4 Beat well.
Step #5 Combine dry ingredients & nuts, & add.
Step #6 Form into 1 inch balls.
Step #7 Press each ball around a 'chocolate kiss'.
Step #8 Bake 10-12 mins on UNGREASED cookie sheet.
Step #9 DO NOT OVERBAKE.
Step #10 Cool.
Step #11 Frost & decorate if desired.
